A Baby

We are awaiting the arrival of a precious gift. A baby. Due August 21st of this year.

We have strategically shared the news with friends and family over the last several weeks, but the announcement went out to the masses at about 1PM on Saturday via Facebook and Twitter and Instagram. If it was at all possible, I would’ve kept my pregnancy private for the whole nine months….but that just wasn’t in the cards….especially with a growing belly.

Even though I cherished sharing what felt like the sweetest secret with Philip (and wish it could have lasted a little longer), I can appreciate all of the joy and excitement expressed by our friends and loved ones. We had a fun weekend full of phone calls and messages, and it has made us feel supported and surrounded with love.

I made it almost 15 weeks before we felt like our news needed to be shared. How long did you wait to share pregnancy news? I’d love to know.

Expecting,

B

Three Things

First of all, no, I am not trying to imitate Emily of Five Things fame. I am just a lazy blog title writer this evening.

I received these three items as Christmas gifts. I’m loving each and every one, so I wanted to share.

I got the Chubby Stick mother load in the form of a gift set. The set came with five different colors of moisturizing lip balm. I use them all. Often. But my favorite color is probably Super Strawberry. The colors last and last, and make my lips feel smooth. These days, I always have one in my purse. P.S. I think the very same gift set I received would make a great Valentine’s Day gift for a friend or sister or girlfriend.

The only other dry shampoo I’ve ever used was this Oscar Blandi version. It came in the form of a powder, and every time I used it I made a big mess. This dry shampoo is a spray. It gives my hair new life after a couple days without washing.  My hair is really fine and hard to style, but this product gives it a great texture. Do you ever use dry shampoo?

It’s the smell! Lavendar just does it for me. This shampoo and conditioner also does a mighty fine job of shining up and cleaning up my hair. I don’t typically buy the same shampoo twice. I like to change it up. I’ll be sad to see these cute little bottles become empty. I might just have to break tradition and buy this set again.

There’s a look inside my bathroom cabinet. Do you have any new beauty products in your regimen?

xoxo,

B
